An independent for Georgia Governor
Howdy, y'all!
It's good to see you, Georgia. My name is Andrew Pacetti—my friends call me "Andy"—and I am running as an independent, write-in candidate to be your next Governor.
No, really, I'm serious...Unconventional? Yes, but serious, nonetheless.
WHY would you do that?
I'm running to be your next Governor because I believe that, given the many challenges that we are all facing, both today and as we look forward to our shared future, I owe it to my kids, I owe it to your kids, and I owe it to you to use all that I've been given to work for A Better Georgia for ALL of us.
BUT You're an independent...How is that going to work?
It can work, if we make it work, because working together is the only way that anything worth doing has ever gotten done...And we have a lot to do, together.
As an Independent Governor of Georgia I will be required to work respectfully and in good faith with the individuals—Democratic, Republican, and otherwise—that you have elected to best represent your interests. I would expect the same consideration in return because we serve you, as the Constitution of the State of Georgia rightly demands. This is as it should be; we all know, however, that it is not how things function now.
Frankly, the two major parties have given us two truly less-than-inspiring options this cycle—I'll largely leave it to them to spend obscene sums of money in the next few months on TV, over radio, on social media, and in your mailbox to prove it— but I firmly believe that, if we can reason together amidst all the noise, we have an opportunity unlike any other we have had in years to work for A Better Georgia, if we will only take it.
With an independent vision for our shared future,
we will march forward together leaving no one in Georgia behind.
